Eleuthera is one of the family islands of the Bahamas. No casinos, nightclubs, or crime. The island is safer than any place in the USA, and there are a hundred beaches to explore. It even at one time attracked Winslow Homer who spent months in the Bahamas( Eleuthera and Nassau ) painting the natural beauty.
In addition to small mom and pop restaurants, there is a small commercial fishing village(Tarpum Bay)nine miles from the house where where fish, conch, crabs, and lobster can be bought from several fishermen.
