This light and airy house is perched on a 2 mile beach of pink and white sand where it is rare to see another person's footprints. It has an open-plan living room and dining area, with glass doors sliding wide open onto a porch and balconies overlooking the beach. Ceiling fans and sea breezes ensure the fitted air conditioning is rarely needed. It is located on the exclusive 5 mile Windermere Island adjoining the island of Eleuthera. A location perfect for those wishing to "get away from it all", with the peace and quiet of a desert island. Once visited never forgotten.
The house is just 10 metres from the stunning Atlantic beach, with a more secluded cove nearby, with warm shallow waters ideal for small children. All living areas and bedrooms have wonderful views of the beach. The sound of the sea will lull you to sleep at night. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. The whole house is simply but prettily decorated, with a cool Italian tiled floor in the living areas. The newly refurbished kitchen has all necessary amenities. Included in the rental is the services of a maid for 4 hours a day. A cook/babysitter can be arranged in advance if required. Local supermarkets, restaurants, airports (2), are within a 20-40 minute drive. Complimentary membership of the nearby Club (5 minutes walk), with tennis courts and swimming pool, is included. A golf course is also in the vicinity and local fishing/snorkeling trips can be arranged.

Eleuthera is one of the outlying "family islands" of the Bahamas, famed for its unspoilt, uncrowded beaches with pink and white sand and turquoise waters, and a leisurely pace of life guaranteed to be an antidote to the stresses of modern living. The nearby small Harbour Island, popular with film and rock stars, is well-known for its pretty colonial-style buildings, and as a centre for breathtaking diving and snorkelling on the coral reefs. Local attractions such as the spectacular Glass Window Bridge and Hatchet Bay Caves are well worth a visit. Flights from Fort Lauderdale or Nassau fly daily into the 2 local airports.
