To mark the event, the Caribbean Tourism Organization, also known as CTO held its 29th Annual Governments of the Caribbean State Ball at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. Windsurfing and Sailing at The Holiday Hotel <br>SailSports Belize is the only dedicated windsurfing and sailing centre on the island of San Pedro. Based under the palapa on the beach at the Holiday Hotel, they offer lessons and rentals in sailing and windsurfing. <br><br>Sailing<br>Lessons are given in the Laser Pico and or the Hobie Wave. Both these boats are excellent for teaching in and are easy to sail for rentals. <br><br>Sailing Area<br>The reef ¼ mile off shore creates a perfect flat water area for beginners, intermediates and experts. The water is warm, clear and shallow; runs of 10 miles and above are possible on either tack.
