Kitsilano Cottage, the structure, is a heritage designation qualified 1910 Craftsman bungalow, typical of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. It has been meticulously restored and ethically upgraded to provide modern living convenience with architectural integrity with its origins.
A Suite @ Kitsilano Cottage is a single, upscale, self-contained, garden level suite. It is approximately 825 square feet. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. There is, a double sized sofabed in the living room. As well, we offer parents of younger children the complimentary use of collapsible playpen, often used as an infant bed and a convertible highchair-child's chair activity table. The Suite's furnishings are a blend of antique and authentic hardwood reproductions in the Craftsman or, as our guests from the United Kingdom fondly refer to it, Macintosh style. Please note, A Suite @ Kitsilano Cottage does not allow pets, however we can recommend boarding services for the same. Note also that we are a non-smoking facility. While cigarette smoking outside is permitted, absolutely no smoking indoors is allowed. The suite has its own, private entry, patio, separate private phone line, Flat Screen TV with VCR/DVD and digital cable with pay per view and video on demand, Broadband Internet access, by both Ethernet and WiFi, CD/Cassette/FM stereo player, a single bathroom with tub/shower, full cook's kitchen facilities, in suite laundry facilities, bicycles with helmets and tennis raquets with balls, for guest use. Daily rate guests, staying over a week, are provided weekly linen changes and cleaning service. Breakfast is not served. Also for daily rate guests', the suite is provisioned with, fresh fruit and baking, coffee and tea preparation supplies for a complimentary, self catered, continental breakfast, for the first morning.

Our family (including 2 kids 6 and under) stayed for 3 days in this beautiful and comfortable accomodation. Chris, the owner (very helpful and friendly) provided a very generous tray of pastries, bread and a huge fruit basket for the 1st morning - all delicious. The kitchen is the most well-equipped we've come across (expresso machine, blender, coffee maker). A couple of the things we found really nice were the provision of a selection of music CDs showcasing Canadian artistes and a mini player you can enjoy them with. Also, there was a pretty decent collection of books for your reading pleasure, should you run out of reading material whilst in Vancouver.
There was off-street parking, if you drive. Although we didn't have much problems finding a parking space near the Cottage, it may get quite crowded during peak season.
All in all, a great place we'd recommend to anyone. Pity we could only stay for 3 days!

If there had "only" been a small bouquet of tulips or a few scones we would have all been so pleased by your generousity & sense of style - as it was we were overwhelmed. Thanks so much for creating such a lovely space for us to be in together, when we weren't exploring this fantastic city. You helped make our too short visit so memorable - we may all be moving to "Kits".
Thanks again.

Thank you Christopher and Destini! Great fruit and baked goods basket and the wine and chocolate hit the spot. Quite an ecclectic book collection - from Sometimes A Great Notion to the Doctor' Deadly Affair, (humm) - it was serene to sit on the front porch, in the verant garden, reading books, (not the Doctor's Deadly Affair)

My daughter was give the task of find suitable accommodation for my visit, on the occasion of the birth of her 1st child. As she knows me to be a rather fussy person, she wondered if I would be happy with her choice. I must say I was more than pleased. It met all m need including just a 5 minute walk from her home.
The "goodies" bsket upon arrival was vvery much appreciated.
If I should have a future visit, I shall certainly be in touch with you and will have no hesitation in recommending this pretty little cottage to others.

The cottage is exellent - we felt welcomed and right at home. All the small touches matter! We really enjoyed getting to know the Kits neighbourhood as much as the main tourist attractions. Well highly recommend the Cottage to any friend coming West.

Your welcome, with flowers, fruit and the "essentials" were just great.
We love your decor and furnishings, makes guests feel very much at ome here.
Proximity to services, the excellent bus service and being within walking distance of our daughter's location make the "Suite" right for us.
Will be thinking of you and hope your decision is to be here for a long time.
Blessings.

Kitsilano Cottage is a place that slowly but surely steals your affections. I find myself utterly charmed by its subtle delights and by the thought, care and generosity you've bestowed on us. Thanks so much - you are truly gifted carekeeper. I think we all three hope to return.
