The perfect place to stay for the wine lover This organic wine estate is in the very heart of the Alsace wine region, 6 km from Colmar. Stay in an apartment in this large winemaker's house with garden and views to the vineyards and castle Wineck. The vineyard house was built at the end of the 19th century on an ancient foundation. It's a typical winemaker's house with basement cellars, living area on the first floor and a huge attic. Renovated 1992 and 2007.
Also available on occasion is a holiday cottage with private garden.
Bicycles, laundry available, also wellness room on request.

Perfect to discover the wine route by car, or hiking, or cycling from the house through vineyards, typical villages, national park of the Vosges Mountains. Katzenthal is located at the foot of the Trois Epis spa, a well-known pilgramage site, in the heart of Alsace and just outside of Colmar. This village preserves its rural character. You will find peace and quiet in this unique valley, by the superb south-west facing hillsides, and by the fortified chateau ruins surrounded by vines. Spend a day outdoors and take the marked footpath beside the house and wander through part of the vineyards towards Neiedermorschwihr and its twisted steeple and on towards the walls of Turkheim or in the other direction towards Ammerschwihr and Kaysersberg, where Albert Schweitzer lived. You'd like to go higher in the mountains? Then take the other path towards le Galtz (at 700 meters of 2200 ft) and Labaroche for a taste of the Welche region. Try a tarte flambee in one of the village restaurants. Enjoy a relaxing day in Katzenthal taking in the sights and sounds of village life. The children who will also love the playground. Of course, there is the opportunity to learn everything about Alsatian wines.
