Moulin de Pierretoune is a beautiful 16th century watermill set in 5 acres of riverside gardens. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles and 1 twin and a bathroom and WC on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a large living/dining room with fireplace, newly fitted well-equipped kitchen and downstairs shower room/wc with washer/dryer. The doors from the living room lead out onto the large terrace where the river flows below. There is a large dining table and chairs on the terrace for al fresco dining as well as a salon area and sun chairs. The terrace leads out onto a long island garden with plane trees for shade and river banks for picnics. The mill is situated in a wonderfully peaceful location, a 5 minute drive from the village of La Bastide Clairence, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. Easy access to the A64 motorway (10 minute drive) and just 30 minutes from the Basque coast and the beautiful seaside resort of Biarritz. Just 25 minutes from Biarritz airport, 45 minutes from Pau airport and 1 1/2 hours from Bilbao airport. Bordeaux airport is a 2 hour drive from the mill. The Spanish border is just half an hour away and San Sebastian, Bilbao and Pamplona can all be visited in a day.
