The cottage is detached and situated in a rural location, roughly midway between Beaune and Autun on the border of Saone et Loire and Cote d'Or. It can be reached easily by a choice of motorways from channel ports with only the last half hour of driving being on country roads through famous vineyard villages.By air, it is approximately 1.5 hrs from Lyon or 2.5 hours from Geneva.
Accommodation consists of 1 bedroom (double bed and single), Lounge with bed settee, dining room, kitchen and shower room. A gazebo in the back garden provides welcome shade for dining outside and comfortable sunloungers are provided together with good quality table and chairs. There is also a barbecue.
Local market towns of Nolay and Epinac are only a short ride away where you can find supermarkets, petrol stations, tourist offices banks and a good range of local shops. There is also a mobile shop calling regularly and a general store in the nearby village of Saisy.
Local chateaux at Sully, La Rochepot and Couches are well worth visiting as well as the numerous vineyards in the area.
