Tiled floors, stone walls, exposed beams … Les Canardeaux combines rustic simplicity with modern conveniences, a perfect base for country walks, horse riding, fishing, wine tasting, visiting chateaux and enjoying delicious French food.<br>
The cottage is well equipped and comfortable during any season with a spacious, sunny bathroom and two separate loos. The house is excellent for children. We can put a cot in the upstairs double bedroom - you just have to ask. Likewise a high chair is available on request. The 8m x 4 m pool has a security cover and alarm, more than ensuring compliance with the new French safety laws. On the terrace, there is an extra long table, overlooking the pool, for those extended, leisurely lunches. The barbeque is close by and the pool is lit for evening swims. In the bedrooms are over-sized duvets and hot water bottles.<br><br>I have had fun furnishing Les Canardeaux, over-spending my budget on beautiful oak and pine furniture from local shops and markets. I am passionate about reading so you won’t find old, tatty rubbish in the bookcase. I am also a keen cook and you will find balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and Dijon mustard as standard, as well as an extensive range of herbs and spices. Everything is in good working order (no loose pan handles) and there are plenty of generous-sized dishes holding enough for at least 6 people (and more if you decide to invite our delightful neighbours).

Rates:
Rates range from 350 euros in the low season (Jan-May Oct-mid December) to 1400 euros for high season (July and August). Please email the owner for payment methods. Quality linen, towels and after-stay clean are all included in the price. Electricity and logs for the fire are 50 euros per week from October to the end of April. For longer bookings, beds are changed every Saturday. For shorter stays, a daily rate of 120 euros applies. The minimum stay is 3 days. (Except in High and Peak seasons when the minimum stay is 1 week.)

Cancellation Policy:
If you have to cancel, any payments you have made will be refunded ( less a 15 euros administration charge) but only if a replacement booking can be found for the same dates. You should make sure you have holiday insurance in case a last-minute need for cancellation arises.
