St Guilhem le Desert (8km) - UNESCO world heritage site:
This is a perfect little village with the famous Abbey, beautiful houses in yellow stone, and a shady square, with a gushing fountain and a magnificent plain tree, spreading it's branches out in an offering of respite from the hot summer sun. Restaurants and shopping.
Pont du Diable (4km):
A stony sand beach on the Herault river, with car park and restaurant.
St Jean de Fos (5km):
A lovely little village, with a beautiful shady square with restaurants and bars. Known for its pottery shops & ateliers.
Gignac (5km):
Great open air market every Saturday morning.
Aniane Observatory (400m):
Within walking distance of the houses at La Lauze (5 mins), it runs regular workshops and evening events throughout the year. Perfect for viewing the renowned clear & unpolluted Aniane skies at night.
Grotte de Clamouse (5km):
Weird and wonderful stalignites and stalictites.
Lac du Salagou (25km):
Red earth lake. Watersports and swimming.
Chateau d'Aumelas:
Ruined castle with magnifiant views. Wonderful place for a walk and picnic, followed by a visit to the nearby Chateau Bas d'Aumelas vineyard.
Mont Saint Baudille:
Wonderful drive to the summit. Amazing 360°C panoramaric view over the Herault plains from the viewing platform.

Cancellation Policy:
Payments will not be refunded after reservation, unless it is possible to relet the period of the reservation. A fee of 20% of the rental price will be retained in this case.
Deposit Required:
50% payment at booking to confirm reservation. Balance due at latest 2 months before arrival. If arrival is less than 2 months after booking, total payment must be sent to confirm reservation.
200€ cash deposit for damages and cleaning upon arrival. This deposit will be fully refunded if there are no breakages or damage, and the house is left in a reasonably clean state.
