If riding horses is not your thing, there are plenty enjoyable excursions you can make riding a bike or even "hoofing it" - on foot.<br><br>The Domaine de Fraisse enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year, which makes it the ideal departure point for exploring the Aude département and its beautiful, natural landscapes. 20 minutes' walk takes you to a wonderful river, flowing south of the Domaine, where you can bathe to cool off, and enjoy unspoiled nature.<br><br>Get on a cross-country bike and go off exploring the byways and backroads of the Aude area. With less than 10 inhabitants per square kilometre, Les Corbières really is a cyclists' paradise. You can cycle along minor roads with hardly any traffic, come upon lovely natural spots, beautiful places to picnic and rest. Within pedaling distance are numerous remains of the Cathar period and also the Cité of Carcassonne.<br><br>Would you like to take deep breaths of Mediterranean air? An hour's drive sees you relaxing on the big sandy beaches of the Languedoc-Roussillon coast.<br>
