This charming four bedroom self-catering 'gite' is found in the hamlet whose name, le Puech, is derived from the ancient dialect of Occitane, meaning 'high place', or 'peak'. Located in what is known as the Bouriane region of the Lot department, between Perigord and Quercy.

18th c. Stone farmhouse located in a small, charming hamlet in the southwest of France, app 24 km northwest of Cahors. The Gite has four bedrooms, can sleep 6-10, with private pool and garden. Peaceful rural setting, with easy access to local villages and markets, festivals, castles, vineyards, the Lot river, caves with prehistoric drawings, Rocamadour...and much more!
All bedrooms have night tables and lamps, area rugs, storage; comfortable duvets, pillows and linens provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with refridgerator/freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle and all necessary kitchen and dinnerware for 10. Long table with benches and a cozy reading nook in front of the fireplace.

Sitting/Dining room has comfortable seating, lamps, tables, and area rugs, and a dining table with chairs, and server table.

Bathroom, with some exposed stone, has shower, toilet, and basin, with plenty of storage for toiletries.

Covered stone terrasse in the front of the house which is accessible from the kitchen and dining room.

Upstairs, a large central sitting area with comfortable seating, tv/dvd and various books and brochures about the region. The daybed/sofa may be used as an additional bed if necessary, as can the one in the sitting room downstairs. (for groups of 9 or 10)

Washing machine and sink downstairs in the 'cave', with closelines.

Oustide, the charming, country-style covered loggia has tables and benches, a bbq and sink, lounge chairs by the pool which is fenced and has an alarm that meets french security standards. The 8 x 4 m pool (originally above ground, now in-ground) is cleaned daily for your comfort.

The onsite owners are a French-American couple, both bilingual and available if you need assistance, phoning, making reservations, travel arrangements, getting important e mail, etc...don't hesitate to ask.
