On our farm there are two L-shaped wings. One of them now has four guest rooms but was once a communal area for farm workers, as well as containing the stable and the granaries.

It took time to renovate, but the results are completely original (so our guests tell us) and create a very pleasant living space.

On our farm there are two L-shaped wings. The bedding in every room is of the highest quality - something we ourselves have been dismayed to find all too rarely in many of the hotels in which we have stayed.

Another one-floor area is designed for two guests. Our Blue Room is one of our most recent developments, much praised for its spacious shower. The bathroom is equipped with towel heater and with an air extractor.

The space boasts a table and chairs ideal for a quick snack.

Our last room is ideal for a single person, opening right on to the garden and prettily decorated - designed to lift the spirits of solitary travelers. Its small window overlooks the charming village road, and our friendly, jovial, good-humoured neighbour Guy Noel is always happy to pass the time of day and share his knowledge of the area.

You might be tempted by a walk in our English garden or for a read on a sunlit afternoon on one of its wooden benches, - an exquisite foretaste of a visit to Giverny, house of our celebrated Impressionist Claude Monet, who lived so close to where we are.
Fay les Etangs Picardie Local Attractions
Our British, American and Australian friends are already well aware that we are relatively close to Giverny, internationally known for Monet's Garden. An absolute must-see for nature lovers, but known also for its charming architecture and its mouth-watering catering. We are a mere 45 kilometers away - and what's more there is a stop on the way well-worth visiting, at Gerberoy.

Equally near is Chaumont - where no visit would be complete without popping into the church - on the way to Gisors (in Normandy) - a historic French town with its Castle of Knights Templar from the time of Philip the Handsome. Don't miss the nearby Cathedral with its original design, especially in terms of the rare prominence it gives to light.

If you want to continue even further on your journeys, take the Lyons la-Foret road towards the Bray and D'Andelle region, where you will discover the typical small town where Claude Chabrol located his film Madame Bovary. Also recommended is a stroll in the forest, the biggest Beech Grove in France. On your way back you can stop at Gournay-en-Bray, from where you can head towards Saint Gewrmer de Fly, with its interesting ruins.
