There are 2 bedrooms, the living and dining rooms have divan/beds. Maximum 4/6 people. It is situated on the outskirts of the village near several farms. Opposite the house across the road is a garden. The village centre is a 5 min stroll. The local high school allows free internet access is a 5 min. stroll. The forest of L'Absie is a 15 min walk from Chez Rogers. The region of L'Absie is excellent for country walking and cycling. Pescalis one of the Premier Fishery Complex in Europe is 15 mins drive away from Chez Rogers. La Rochelle is 1.25 hrs away, Poitiers is 1.25 hrs, Nantes is 1.5 hrs, Cognac 1 hr. and Bordeaux is 2.5 hrs. away. Paris is 4.25 hrs away
You will discover Chez Rogers surrounded by fields, and wooded areas within easy walking distance. The village centre is but 5 mins. away. The entrance leads into the living room with comfortable sofa and armchair, TV, VCR, radio tape, DVD and CD player. The dining area has a large table and six chairs, buffet and divan. The kitchen is well equipped with butane gas water heater, electric cooker plus grill and oven, refrigerator, washing machine/spin dryer, vacuum cleaner, toaster, electric kettle, crockery, pots and pans, BBQ, utensils and everything you will need to be found in the dining room hutch. Leading off the living room under the stairs is a W.C. and a shower There is a hand basin upstairs on the landing above the stairs. The two bedrooms include a main bedroom with double bed, and the second bedroom with two single beds. There are sofa beds in both the dining and living rooms. There is electric radiator heating throughout the house. Although there are sheets and covers, guests from Continental Europe are requested to bring their own sheets, this does not apply to North American guests. Pillow slips and towels duvets and covers are provided.

L'Absie with its population of 1132, is centred around the remains of a medieval abbey patronised by Eleanor of Aquitaine, There are shops bars and restaurants. During the week on Thursdays the local baker, fishmonger, grocer and butcher bring a selection of their local produce to sell outside Chez Rogers / Rue de la Morinère. Several bakers come daily and the bulk wine merchant delivers weeklyon Fridays. There is a hard tennis court at l'Absie 2 miles away and more courts and a pool at Secondigny and La Chataigneraie.
