Situated in a peaceful hamlet, it is an ideal base to relax and enjoy the region's well known sites such as POITIERS/FUTUROSCOPE/THE VENISE VERTE (45mns), LA ROCHELLE/ILE DE RE (70mns) and the many local medieval towns, vllages, neolithic and Roman sites, great markets and good restaurants.. The house is fully detached and private (no other gîtes) its spacious ground floor accommodation 112m2 sleeps 6, children are welcomed and baby will find his/her cot, high chair and bath... Its thick walls, double glazed/single glazed window with shutters and a good insulation guarantee your comfort during hot summer days, no need for clim and ecologically sound!.. There is a sofa, 4 armchairs, a coffee table, a four- poster bed, better looking and more comfortable than a sofa bed!, a small hi-fi, a TV/video/DVD and a choice of videos, books on the region, magazines and old fashion games. KITCHEN/DINING ROOM:29m2/35yd2 Newly equipped with a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, tiled worktop, an antique Henry II buffet with its dining table and 6 chairs. A door leads to the garden. UTILITY ROOM: Washing machine, Hoover, iron, ironing table, clothes-rack and cupboards, cleaning utensils etc. SHOWER ROOM: Shower with thermostatic tap and glass door, toilet, washbasin, cupboard. BEDROOM 1: 15m2/18yd2Two single beds. BEDROOM 2:16m2/19yd2 One double bed and a cot. THE GARDEN: We are keen gardeners and have re-designed the garden to suit the house's ancient character with a 16th c style herb garden, 2 wooden pergolas covered buy ancient vines sheltering a picnic table and a bench.
