Nestling into a verdant plot with glorious views over the countryside and the sea beyond, this rustic 4 bedroom Crete Holiday Villa enjoys a privileged location, near the traditional village of Gavalohori in NW Crete. Beautifully constructed from natural stone, the interiors and exteriors have features that represent a bygone Crete, tastefully combined with the modern comfort one expects from a quality holiday rental. The private pool and garden, including a small wood of oak trees, complete a picture of relaxation and peace.
Villa Prinolithos has a habitable surface of 160 m2 and 60 m2 of terraces and is built on a plot of 5000 m2 with no immediate neighbours. <br>On the ground floor there is a large open plan area with a comfortable lounge with a working fireplace, the dining room and the kitchen, opening out to fine verandahs. The kitchen is well equipped with refrigerator/freezer, full sized cooker with oven, coffee maker, toaster, kettle. Amenities also include washing machine, telephone – available for incoming or local outgoing calls – CD player and television. <br>A double and a twin bedroom, both air-conditionned, are on the ground floor and share a bathroom. A staircase leads to the loft, where a third bedroom is set, with two single beds and a shower/WC. This bedroom offers no complete privacy as it has no door. The property also has a separate, self contained guest-studio, with direct access to the pool area. It consists of a bedroom with two single beds, a sitting room and has a kitchenette corner and a shower /WC. It’s often transformed into the kids’ private hideaway and playroom. <br>The 8x5m swimming pool (1,10-1,90m deep) that is set in front of the villa, the pool terrace with sun loungers & umbrellas, the built-in BBQ and the eating out facilities complete the picture of a relaxed atmosphere and ensure of a most enjoyable stay. <br>Cleaning service is provided twice per week.<br>Car rental is essential.<br>The owners have taken the greatest care in designing this charming villa to provide families with a very cool, relaxing and comfortable ‘home from home’. Prinolithos is a great option for groups of friends or families, who wish to enjoy a holiday in peace and comfort and also immerse in local culture and the island’s every day life.<br> <br>

The beautiful province of Apokoronas, where the villa is situated, is about 25km east of Chania town. The area is known equally for its pretty traditional villages and verdant landscapes as it is for the recent introduction of eco-tourism. The property is located between the colourful villages of Gavalohori and Vamos, both an excellent example of this, with carefully restored houses, narrow streets and traditional shops and eateries, capturing flavours of the past combined successfully with every day life. The area also offers a variety of options for walkers, bird watchers and cyclists.
The villa is less than ten minutes by car from the sea at Kalives and Almyrida, both of which offer beautiful sandy beaches and water sports as well as the convenience of most facilities you might need during your stay such as supermarkets, bakeries, a bank and a further choice of tavernas, many picturesquely situated right by the waterfront.
