This beautiful villa, in the little mountain village of Loutra, 10 km from Rethymnon, has been built with great style. There is a 25sqm swimming pool, and the villa is suitable for up to 17 people, with seven bedrooms, six of which have twin bed<br>s and one of which has a double bed. There are 7 shower rooms with WC, most of which are en-suite and a few of these also have a bath. Air conditioning (9 units) is available included in the rate. <br>There is a paved loggia at the entrance to the main living area, furnished with a large wooden dining table. The house is designed on a series of levels and is composed of an elegant main living area, plus a further uniquely styled variety of self contained en-suite bedrooms and apartments leading off the courtyard and off upper verandas. <br>The main living area is split level, and has a stone fireplace, a baby grand piano, and comfortable sofas. On a raised level to one side is a modern fully equipped kitchenette and a small elegant dining area. A pretty tiny patio leads off the kitchen, and there is a full bathroom/WC leading off from the dining area. From the first floor terrace there is a narrow wrought iron staircase leading up to a really beautiful split level roof terrace with latticed wood surround, ideal for relaxing in the sun. The roof terraces offer attractive views all around, across to the sea in the distance, over rooftops and old village houses. Due to the village and the nature of the old buildings around, not all of the terraces of Villa Athena are entirely private. The house is also not suitable for those with mobility difficulties but the terraces of the villa have been designed with the safety of children in mind. <br><br>9 units of aircondition + fireplace + the big walls make WINTERHOLIDAYS easily possible !!<br>and opposite:<br>This house is a recently built modern 2-storey house, suitable for up to 8 people, situated within the atmospheric old village of Loutra, 12 km from Rethymnon. The detached four bedroom villa with its pretty little front gardens and small swimming pool (25sqm) <br>On the ground floor there is a spacious living/dining room with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchenette with a washing machine and a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with en suite shower/WC, and a separate bathroom with bath tub/shower fitment/WC. French windows open onto a veranda with views of the garden. The swimming pool with its small paved sun terraces sits within the front gardens and close by there is a BBQ and patio furniture set under a pergola. <br>An interior staircase leads to the upper floor, where there are three further bedrooms plus a lobby area with a little kitchenette. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and en-suite shower/WC, the other two have twin beds and share a bathroom with bath tub/shower fitment/WC. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning (at an extra local charge) and each has access to a veranda or a balcony with views over the village, the surrounding countryside and across to the sea in the distance. <br>For guests use there is a small gym and Jacuzzi in the basement of the house. The nearest beach is approx 4 km away. There are a few mini markets and tavernas within walking distance in the village. We consider car hire to be essential. <br>
