Bali is a unique culture unto itself that incorporates their Hindu-Buddhist religion into the culture of their daily life. Their culture even incorporates ancient beliefs from the Malayo-Polynesian culture. It is their culture and view on life that make Bali such a unique destination.
Bali is an island and therefore has many beautiful beaches to enjoy.
One of the major beaches is Sanur. It is located on the South Eastern part of the island and is easily accessable from Denpasar. Sanur is one of the original resorts in Bali and so it has incorporated many of the Bali traditions in its architecture, temples that face the white sandy beaches
Kuta and Legian
If you enjoy surfing then you need to head out towards the beaches of Kuta and Legian which are on the opposite side of Sanur. The town has many attractions including Shops, Kecak dance performances, pubs, and other facilities that make Kuta a fun destination.
Jimbaran
Jimbaran is another tourist resort that gained notoriety during the Bali bombings of the 2005. However, the village is growing due to the tourism industry. It is located on a narrow peninsula with two different beaches located on either side. Face the Bay on the west are the newer luxury resorts. On the west, Jimbaran Beach faces the Jimbaran Bay, recently lined by new luxurious resorts. The eastern beach is calmer and has a view of Benoa Harbor.
