Villa Cardeto is a magnificent Tuscan Villa on top of a hill near Anghiari in the Province of Arezzo. The spacious area offers you many different possibilities to retire from the world or to simply enjoy the gorgeous view into the Tiber-valley!
The Villa consists of 6 rooms (3 rooms with full-size beds and 3 rooms with two individual beds) and 5 bathrooms (shower/lavatory). The comfortable rooms offer an amazing view into nature. There is a dining-hall with a covered terrace and a Tuscan-style fireplace-room. You may enjoy a cosy evening in cooler seasons there. The Villa features many antiques and original terracotta floors.
Furthermore, there are a gatekeeper's house (2 rooms and two bathrooms) as well as a frame house (2 rooms, bathroom and small kitchen) for individual lodging available.
Villa Cardeto is especially suited for seminars and advanced training. Naturally, we lease apartments or rooms to smaller groups, individual travellers or families. The Villa Cardeto is a popular estate for wedding receptions, a small chapel and suited premises are available on demand.
Sala Caminetto:
The great fireplace room is the heart of the Villa, which may be used by the guests as a warm living room in cooler seasons, as a reading room or as a recreation room. The large old fireplace and the original terracotta floor distinguish this room.
Lounge:
The lounge with its grande panorama window is situated right next to the main entrance of the Villa and is inviting for a chat with a good glass of local wine from our bar or a quick surf in the internet.
Mangiatoia:
We love to spoil our guests in the basement of the villa with a rich breakfast buffet. If the weather allows it, we serve our guests with Tuscan treats in the dinning-hall of on the covered terrace on a great wooden table.
Pool:
The Pool (6x16m) is very inviting for swimming or water gymnastics and the big terracotta terrace offers plenty of space for sunbathing or relaxation under the shadowy pavilion roof.

The picturesque little medieval town of Anghiari is located just 2,5 km from the villa. It boasts a number of good restaurants, bars, banks and numerous shopping possibilities. Because of its fine accessibility, it is an excellent starting point for trips to Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Urbino, Trasimenian Lake or the Adriatic coast, all which are easily reached within an hour by car.
