The area combines great natural beauty (Lake Trasimeno is about 20 minutes drive away) with a wealth of historical remains and artifacts - Etruscan, Roman and mediaeval. Cortona's ancient walls and winding streets have resisted the ravages of modern development, making it an exquisite Tuscan gem and, with several excellent restaurants, a delightful place to stroll up to in the evenings

The villa Serena along with its two annexes - Serenella and Limonaia - each with an independent entrance, when rented as a whole provides accommodation for 10 guests with private grounds and swimming pool. This is a traditional Tuscan home, with the rich, warm colours of terracotta and chestnut beams lending a timeless elegance. The rooms are spacious and light, and furniture and furnishings have been carefully selected to emphasise the grandeur of the building. The garden grounds are well tended and set in the most glorious setting with a swimming pool taking full advantage of its panoramic views. The villa and its two annexes can also be rented independently of each other in which case the swimming pool is shared.

The Villa Serena can either be rented complete with Serenella and Limonaia to provide excellent and private accommodation for 10 persons OR each can be rented individually… Serena (Sleeps 6)Spacious and very comfortably furnished 19th century villa with generous garden grounds, a large terrace - furnished with a big table, ideal for alfresco breakfasts, lunches and evening meals - and splendid panoramic views. Ground floor: Very large and spacious living room with open arches subdividing the room into three zones; 'cozy' sitting area with fireplace; large sitting room; dining room. Fully equipped kitchen with a oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. WC. A staircase runs up from the sitting room to the first floor: Three double bedrooms with period beds and furniture. Two bathrooms, one with bathtub and one with shower. Serenella and Limonaia, each with accommodation for two guests, are decorated in the same luxurious style as the villa, with cotta tiling and period furniture lending an air of rustic luxury. The annex is a single storey building with hugh glazed arched doorways making these apartments beautifully light and airy.
