Casa da Roda, is situated near Arganil in the Beiras region of Central Portugal.

This secluded lakeside property with spectacular views of the lake and mountains is set in a conservation area.

This is a perfect holiday for singles, couples, families and groups; an ideal setting for workshops and retreats.

Why not try painting, bird watching, walking, fishing and more.

Taste the local wines and cuisine and enjoy nearby facilities which include horse riding, canoeing, ski-ing, golf and go-kart racing, etc.

You will be spoilt for choice with the selection of destinations to enjoy on your trips out which can include the University City of Coimbra (for shoppers and lovers of architecture), the broad white sandy beaches of the western coast and, to the east, the highest mountains in Portugal at Serra da Estrela.

If you prefer to relax at home, you can take in the views from the salt water swimming pool and heated jacuzzi on the patio. Then, after a relaxing barbeque, you can sit and enjoy the unrivalled sunset over the lake.


We have a double bedroom with ensuite shower, a twin bedroom which can be converted into a kingsize bed, a sofa bed in the lounge. We can also sleep up to 4 singles on the upper level. Large farmhouse kitchen/dining room.

A cot and high chair are available.

Fresh bed linen and towels will be supplied once a week. Please note that holiday villa towels should not to be used for the pool and/or taken from the property. Please bring your own swimming towels.

The double bedroom, twin bedroom and lounge (if used as bedroom) are supplied with cotton bathrobes for adults.

There is no telephone supplied other than for emergency use.

We have Sky Satellite and Cabo Satellite (Portuguese) together with Playstation One, a DVD/CD Player plus a video player. Clients are welcome to use the stereo on the upper level and the portable CD/radio player in the kitchen.

We provide a steam iron and a table top ironing board. There is also a hanging dryer which can be used on the verandah.

We have a large selection of tourist brochures which include information about canoeing, sail boarding, architectural visits, parks, etc.

We also have plenty of books to read together with board games, a badminton set and lilos for the pool.
