Golfing , walking, climbing, snorkeling, fishing, bird watching, sailing and wind surfing, are common activities all along the Fife coast. Visit Edinburgh to enjoy the many trendy shops, cafes and historic sites. Walk or cycle the Fife coastal path and plan short or long routes along the coast from the Forth bridges right round the shore to St. Andrews and beyond.
Why not leave the car at the cottage and take a train ride from the small Kinghorn Station across the famous Forth Bridge into Edinburgh to visit the many historic sights including Edinburgh castle, Sir Walter Scott's monument, the British museum and the new Scottish parliament building. Or browse around the trendy shops and cafe bars on and around Princess Street. The journey takes around 40 minutes and an off peak same day return ticket costs very little.

Great house and location to explore from. House had everything and was very well presented with lots of nice touches. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Best cottage we've ever rented.
