Millness Croft Cottages in Loch Ness Highland Scotland

Rated FIVE STARS by the Scottish Tourist Board. Our beautiful newly built (2005) detached cottages in traditional croft style, have private gardens and parking, and are unique to the area. They over look the river and forest, and the area is teeming with wildlife; wild deer, Pine Martens, birds of prey and more. Two have two bedrooms and one has one bedroom, all with additional sofa beds. They benefit from this peaceful, unpolluted, stunning setting at the top of Glen Urquhart, just enough away from the busy tourist routes for you to escape, but within easy reach of the rest of the Highlands to make this a perfect central base. You can be assured that you will not be disturbed by sirens or awakened by car alarms here. On the very doorstep are the spectacular glen’s of Affric, Cannich and Strathfarrar, the Great Glen and Loch Ness. The cosmopolitan city of Inverness is just 25 mins. away.

The cottages of Grant, Fraser and Chisholm, named after local clans, have been painstakingly designed to cater for your every whim. They are luxurious, stylish, sophisticated and yet still have that home from home feel, and much more! A serious amount of care and attention to detail has been taken with all fittings, furnishings and decoration.

Everything is brand new and of high quality; spa baths, solid oak floors, fully equipped kitchens, washers and tumble driers, Satellite TV, DVD, video, CD players, wood burning stoves and a welcome hamper, (inc. wine and our own free-range eggs amongst other things). Complimentary toiletries and an 'essentials' pack await you along with every thing esle you could possibly wish for. The cottages are really well equipped.

Garden furniture and barbecues are outside on your decking or patio area. All utilities/linen/towels inc. (High chairs, cots, safety gates etc available).

A small working, family farm, (120 acres), with pasture, moor and mountain and burn running right through it, inc. our own private waterfalls and wee lochan. You are more than welcome to fish, and are free to walk around the farm and meet the animals, Highland cattle, sheep and chickens.

Activities: you may be spoilt for choice with walking, skiing, fishing, cycling, (bike hire and storage available), dolphin watching, golfing, (courses fm 15 mins. drive), pony trekking, sampling the ‘water of life’, on a whisky trail or visiting the nearby coasts, or just simply relaxing!
