Tangala Safari Camp is one of the last authentic 'Big Five' game viewing experiences in South Africa. This small intimate game lodge can only accommodate 10 guests and is situated in the 26 000 acre Thornybush Private Nature Reserve. Tangala is one of only a few of 'non electricity' game lodges in the country. The Camp is run on alternative energy such as LP gas, kerosene and solar panel energy.<br><br>
Accommodation at the camp will bring back memories of a bygone era. Our thatched chalets have en suite bathroom facilities and paraffin lantern lighting creating authentic rustic luxury at an affordable price Our cuisine has been specially created to reflect South AfriSouth Africa . At Tangala we have created the feel of Africa long forgotten and our team strives to give all guests the ultimate African bush experience. Tangala has striking views of the Drakensberg Mountains and is next to the world famous Kruger National Park. <br>We proud ourselves in personalised, owner managed service. Authentic Simplicity<br><br>Our camp consist of a central dining and lounge area with full bar and a swimmingpool with a deck. Five double en suite chalets each with shaded verandahs. Hot water is provided at all times with traditional old-fashioned “donkey-boilers” (geysers). We are proud to announce that Tangala is one of only a few electricity free camps in South Africa.
