Carratraca Villa for Rent

Casa Elanor is a luxury villa situated within walking distance of the historic spa town of Carratraca. This is the gateway to the area known by the Spanish as the Andalucian Lake District . It is approx 50 kms (40minutes drive) from Malaga airport. The famous Costa del Sol resorts are within 1hrs drive, but at Casa Elanor you will experience a completely different world- the real Spain. Within 10 minutes drive from the villa you will find beautiful turquoise lakes surrounded by pine trees where you can swim and hire pedaloes or canoes. Carratraca is a classic white village typical of the area, but unusally has a huge spa baths(currently being refurbished and due to reopen in Sept 2005) and a disused bullring where a passion play is performed every Easter. Spa water runs constantly from two taps in the village where a continuous flow of people come from miles away to fill up containers with the famous water. A Parador restaurant opens at weekends serving excellent reasonably priced meals, while the local bar/restaurants adjacent to the public spa offer 4 course lunches from 6€<br>
The Villa has comfortable furniture in a large open plan living area with a feature log fireplace. A CD, TV and DVD are available, as are a selection of English books and some family games. The kitchen/dining area has fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. A drinks cupboard is provided which you are welcome to enjoy provided you replenish on departure. The 3 bedrooms contain more than adequate storage space and a hairdryer is provided in each. Outside there is a patio area with a gas barbeque and novelty chess/dining table and loungers which is walled to provide privacy. There is also an arched terrace with furniture from which you can enjoy the stunning mountain views. A path leads from the villa to a large patio area where you will find a 10m private swimming pool, sun loungers, large barbeque, poolside bar (draught beer can be oredered!!)2 well appointed dining areas, pagada for shade and table tennis. Steps then lead to a badminton court and large garden area. At the end of this there is another patio area and boules pitch.
