The Arttus Ranch borders the Trinity River - one can walk across the field and enjoy a private beach for fishing or swimming. The views of the surrounding mountains and valley provide a feeling of spaciousness and peacefulness. 10 miles from Weaverville in the Trinity Alps. Just walk across our meadow to the Trinity River for great steelhead, salmon, & trout fishing! The views are great. Try some gold-panning or canoeing. The area is good for bicycling & walking, with a barn & field for your horses. The Arttus Ranch is a secluded and peaceful vacation home, located at the foot of the Trinity Alps, in Douglas City.
Enjoy the view while eating on either the front or back porch, a fully equiped kitchen, linens and towels provided. The house is very clean, comfortable and quiet. Outside shower to cool off with in the heat of summer.

Fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the Trinity River, across the pasture from the house, is great. Boating and fishing at nearby Lewiston and Trinity lakes is also available. Whiskeytown Lake and Shasta Trinity National Forest is a short drive away. The Trinity Alps are great for either short and easy hikes, or more challenging excursions.
A boat launch for access to the river is one block away, as well as a walking and bicycle path along the river. Bird-watching during the day, star-gazing at night.
Weaverville is 10 miles away - it is a beautiful historic gold-mining town with great shopping, a blacksmith & gold-mining museum, the Joss House - an old Chinese temple with tours courtesy of the Forest Service, a new movie theater and supermarket.
