Spring and Summer Downeast Lodging is situated in the village of Lubec, the easternmost point in the US, on a tree lined street. It is two or three blocks from nearly all the services of the town such as harbor, library, shopping, post office, art galleries. Within 10 miles are four lighthouses, hiking trails, long prospects over the rocky coast of the Bay of Fundy. It is very near to the international bridge to Campobello, New Brunswick, Canada. Typical of this coast location, the house has two stories, the upper one is available for rent as a self-catering apartment or by the room, also self catering. In addition to the three bedrooms there are two lounges, a kitchenette, full bath, access to laundry, off-street parking. All linens and dishes are supplied. Many of my guest return year after year. They enjoy the comfort and the moderate rates. They love the clean air, beautiful changing light, the cool temperatures, and quiet atmosphere of the town.

Lubec is situated on a peninsula jutting into the Bay of Fundy with its dramatic tides, marine wild life, rocky coastal hiking trails. When the mainland is overly warm we are cooled by the currents of the coves and bays. The air is always clean, the stars are brilliant, the lobster is delicious. Photographers and artists love our region for its ever changing light, writers are inspired by its beauty and unique New England character. This is a place with no traffic lights, no casinos, no chain hotels. People come here for a peaceful relaxing time.

In season (June 15 to Labor Day the first Monday in September: $75 to $95 per room per night, minimum stay 3 nights. Entire floor as an apartment sleeping 4, $175 per night, min. stay 3 nights, by the week, $800. Extra guests $50 per night. Off season (May 15 to Jun 15,September to October 1), same prices minus 10 %.

If I am able to re-rent your reserved space, you will receive your total deposit back less $50 for office charges. Otherwise, I will refund deposits less the 50 office charge if I am notified within 15 days before your arrival date
