Where to stay in Chaunigan Lake has simple options and is a destination that is located in the Nemaiah Valley of British Columbia, which is home to the Indigenous group of Indians. Surrounding the lake are numerous provincial parks: Big Creek Provincial Park, Nunsti Provincial Park and the Ts'yl-os Provincial Park. It is an area of beautiful natural scenery. The lake is also the location of the Xeni Gwet'in First Nation reserve which has approximately 300 people. The lake is known for its excellent rainbow trout fishing and beautiful hiking trails and just as a place to enjoy some beautiful scenery. It is about an 8-9 hour drive north of Vancouver into the center of British Columbia
