Exmoor Vacations: Things to see while on vacation in Exmoor Devon

The Exmoor National Park extends across the southern shore of the Bristol Channel covering land within Devon and Somerset. Within the park are numerous small villages and farms that contribute to the charming character of the area. The coastline is one of the highest in the area with ports and quays full of fishing boats. Exmoor National Park has over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways that wind through the moors of the area and the park is a popular destination for hiking, biking and fishing. Exmoor was originally considered a part of the Royal Forest during the 13th century. Heath and heather cover the hills and the wild Exmoor Pony along with numerous sheep can be seen grazing across the moors.
