Greyton Vacations: Things to see while on vacation in Greyton Cape Province

Greyton is one of the most beautiful towns in South Africa. With its thatched roof cottages, gravel roads, pretty gardens, and beautifully restored buildings. The people who live here are friendly, and it seems that the sun always shines in this part of the world. The oak-lined streets, the donkey carts clatter, and where the ducks gather in the canal is more a way of life than an outdoor activity.

Every Saturday the town comes together in the village square for a craft market and the annual Rose Festival that takes place in October/ November is an event not to be missed. Greyton is a destination for nature lovers with multiple hiking trails and day walks.

The Boesmanskloof Trails take approximately six hours to reach McGregor while the Noupoort hike leads you to the peak of Kononberg. These trails take you through the winding mountainside to the Gobos River Gorge, which is several refreshing pools and 9 waterfalls. If you are not much of a hiker, traveling with a bicycle in town is a very common sight. It is regarded as a sensible alternative to a motor vehicle and date back to 1846. Greyton is a lively little town with many restaurants, shops, pubs, and art galleries that will intrigue you for hours.
