Alora Vacation

Alora represents a municipality located on the south region of Spain and it is a part of the province Malaga (Andalusia), with 40 km of Malaga, on the bank of Guadalhorce and Cordoba-Malaga rail-line, within Valle del Guadalhorce. This is the usual ‘pueblo blanco’ or a whitewashed village situated in the middle between rocky spurs and castle ruins. This municipality has an area of 169 sq. km. All hills have olive oil, cereal and oak trees too, but also many orchards for fruits and vegetables for the valley floor. The population total number is 13.436 people, as per the data of INE, 2008. Alora’s castle or its towers are lookouts for people moving and for lookouts on all goods in inner land areas in the Bobastro and these towers are right between headlands and the Mount Hacho (559 meters). On the north of Arco Calizo Central there is the El Chorro natural setting, the Sierra de Huma (with 1,191 meters) and Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (here the known Caminito del Ray was found). On the west, there is the Sierra de Aguas (949 meters) that extends all to the mountain complex Serrania de Ronda – landscape with pine trees starting from Guadalhorce River, to the Alora and Carratraca.
