Locals and visitors alike, marvel at the scenic beauty which changes with the seasons. We are fortunate enough to have the renowned Valley of Rocks on the doorstep of the hotel, the North Walk emerging amongst wild goats in the dramatic dry valley just a couple of minutes down the road. <br><br>One of the last remaining unspoilt vestiges of Southern England, Lynton is not readily accessible but is uniquely situated to enjoy the best of both coast and country, being literally where Exmoor meets the sea. Often described as England's little Switzerland, it is a fascinating area of immense variety. The village itself has plenty to offer the visitor, and is connected to Lynmouth by the famous water powered cliff railway. These are the highest coastal cliffs in Britain and Lynton stands 500 feet above sea level in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are walks and wildlife in abundance, both over the moors and down through the steep wooded river valleys where delightful streams cascade down to the sea. Walkers and bird watchers alike should explore Watersmeet, Lee Bay, Heddons Mouth, Brendon, the Doone Valley and Porlock amongst many other local places of interest. Much of the area is owned by the National Trust and its properties are not to be missed. North Devon's famous sandy beaches are easily accessible but if the weather is unkind, the major centres of Barnstaple and Minehead are both worth a visit as well as many traditional villages which nestle in moorland valleys<br>

Cancellation Policy for B&B:
There is no arbitrary time limit for cancellations. If the notice provided is sufficient to allow the accommodation to be re-let, no charge will be levied. If however, despite our best efforts, we are<br>unable to fill any or part of the vacancy created by cancellations, early departures or no shows,the industry norm will apply and we will claim damages equivalent to two-thirds of the lost value. This is chargeable on the last day of the pre-booked period after adjustment of any prior deposit. Although this seldom happens in practice because the situation is usually remedied by replacement bookings, cancellation insurance is now widely and cheaply available if guests are at all concerned.
Deposit Required for B&B:
A valid debit or credit card number must be supplied to secure any accommodation. This number simply guarantees the reservation, and no charge will be made at the time of booking. Provisional bookings are not accepted, and only in exceptional circumstances can we process cheque deposits. Accounts may however be settled by debit or credit card, cheque or cash, although a 2% surcharge applies to cover credit card commission only (debit cards are not affected). We will guarantee the general room type (ie double, twin, family, single) and endeavour in every<br>case to allocate rooms according to any expressed preference regarding shower, bath, 1 st or 2 nd floor. Guests should advise of any access or other special needs or requirements at the time of<br>booking, so that the appropriate service can be provided.
