Florence Medici apartment for Rent

Hello,
we are Lorenzo and Anna and we are the owners of Melarancio 1 apartment.
Our beautiful home is located on the second floor of a XIVth century palace in via del melarancio 7, next to the Medici Chapel. It's about 5 minutes walking far from the Duomo and 2 minutes walking far from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station. It's really the best location to visit Florence from his lively heart. It's the ideal starting point for trips in Tuscany too. All the major buses and organized tours for Chianti, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and other fantastic places leave from the Santa Marina Novella Station.

We have finished to restore this apartment in 2009 and everything is brand new. It's really a cosy, quite and luminous apartment. There are ancient beautiful frescoes and decorations togheter with sophisticated furniture, prints and drawings that we have bought in all the antique markets we often visited. It's our passion. But there is every modern comfort too: airconditioning (from 2010), heating, washing machine, hairdryer, microwave, free wireless connection. We are sure that when you will be here you will think that the apartment is better in reality rather than in our pictures.
Sorry there is no elevator in the building but we will help you to bring up your luggage at your check-in. There are about 30 stairs to do.

The apartment is composed by two bedrooms (with two double beds - queen size - or twin beds on request), one large sitting room with a dining table, a sofa and a fireplace, one bathroom with shower and a well equipped kitchen. Though the apartment is so close to the San Lorenzo Food Market and there are so many little restaurants and caffes in the surroundings that we expect you not to cook too much here..

We provide linen and towels and bathroom equipment too.
Once you will arrive we will be pleased to welcome you with some drinks and fresh fruits. We are florentine and we love our town. We will be happy to suggest you things to do, places to visit, little familiar restaurants to eat at and give you some information about how to spend your stay in Florence at its best. We can help you to book museums tickets complimentary. Just please let us know in advance as there are long queues at the Uffizi and the Accademia.

The area outside our building is safe and quite. There is a little supermarket daily open until 8.00 p.m. and some bakeries and groceries.
There is a car parking just next to our apartment but it's quite expensive: 25.00 euro per day. There is a cheapest one at the Fortezza da Basso and daily rate is 18,00 euros. You can manage a better rate for a longer stay. We suggest you not to come to Florence by car anyway. Train is the best choice you can do. A car is not necessary inside the city center and there are many trains and buses to reach all the major locations in Tuscany too.
