The British is the longest established hotel in Valletta, and we are located in one of the city’s quaint terraced streets.<br><br>This affordable two star, family-owned-and-run-hotel, overlooks the magnificent Grand Harbour. Our restaurant, lounge bar and most of our guest bedrooms offer panoramic views of this historic and picturesque harbour.
At the British we have 44 comfortably furnished guest bedrooms on six storeys - and most may be reached by lift.<br><br>Each room has an en suite bathroom or shower, a writing desk cum dressing table and a telephone for both international and local calls plus, of course, our room service. Twin and triple rooms have cable LCD TV installed since 2010. Some rooms have air-conditioning and safe deposit boxes at an extra charge. Also available, is a laundry and dry cleaning service; and for the business person, our fax facility. Most guest bedrooms also have a balcony overlooking Valletta’s famed Grand Harbour.<br><br>In summer and winter you can bask in quiet comfort on our roof-top sundeck, where you can enjoy a snack or a tall, cool drink as you tan.<br><br>In the evening take it easy in our lounge bar, or catch up on world news in our television lounge.<br><br>Connoisseurs of fine living can expect exquisite cuisine and flawless presentation in our restaurant.<br><br>We offer a delightful choice of Maltese food accompanied by the finest wines.<br><br>Friendliness and service.
