Uzes Vacations: Things to see while on vacation in Uzes Languedoc

Uzes is an old historic village that dates back to the 16th century. In the center of the town is the beautiful Place aux Herbes, with its large shady spotted bark Plane trees, that spread a dapple shade over the numerous cafe shops. Delicious food markets are a common occurrence in Uzes, with the truffle market being one of the most unique. Within the city walls, you will find one of the oldest remaining royal families, the Duchy of Uzès, located in it's own private castle and an amazing way to spend the afternoon. Nearby is the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct that was built in the 1st century AD. Historical treasures, culture, delicious food and wine all contribute to an enjoyable visit to this area of Languedoc.
