French Polynesia are a group of 118 islands in the South Pacific Ocean that fall within the jurisdiction of France. French Polynesia is further divided into five archipelagoes: The Society Islands, the Marquesa Islands, Tuamotu Islands, Gambier Islands and the Austral Islands. Of these 5 archipelagoes four are volcanic and one is coral. The official language on the islands is French. The majority of the population of French Polynesia live on the island of Tahiti. And most famous islands are found in the Society Islands of which include Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti.
