Le Marche Italy's eastern border extends for 100 miles along the Adriatic Sea, while its western border runs through the Apennine Mountains. Their dramatic beach region is known as the "Conero Riviera" and it is famous for its dramatic rocky coast with white cliffs, turquoise bays and inlets lined with white pebble beaches with a backdrop of forests that line the coastal area. On the western region of Le Marche the Apennine mountain chain forms a natural border between Le Marche and Umbria. The Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini is a park system that encompasses this region between Le March and Umbria.
